The list includes 105 companies that have failed to comply with the requirements of the law, such as filing annual returns,.
According to DICA, these companies are no longer considered as existing companies and their names have been removed from the company register. They are also prohibited from carrying on any business activities in Myanmar. Any person who acts on behalf of these companies or deals with them may face legal consequences.
Among the companies that have been struck off, three have been blacklisted for illegal money transfer activities.
DICA has urged all existing companies to comply with the Myanmar Companies Law 2017 and its regulations, and to update their information on the MyCO online registry system regularly. DICA also reminded the public to check the status of any company before engaging in any business transactions with them.
