Background

Win Thin & Associates was established by U Win Thin in 1958. Our founder and chairman U Win Thin has been leading the Myanmar Auditing field for 58 years. His passion is to delicate all of his valuable knowledge and experiences to the next generation and his dream is for all Myanmar auditors to receive international recognition. Our firm nurtures many fully fledged professional auditors in the Myanmar Auditing field.


In 1995 the firm was appointed as the sole representative firm in Myanmar of Arthur Andersen & Co., S.C. (AA) and was provided with modern methodologies and various training. Thereafter in 1997 the firm wishing to concentrate on auditing and accounting only, transferred its consulting business to SGV-WINTHIN Consulting Ltd., a joint venture with SGV International Ltd., Hong Kong (a subsidiary of SGV & Co. of the Philippines) for rendering business advisory services, tax services, economic and financial consulting and business consulting parallel with it. After the collapse of AA in 2002, the firm was appointed by DFK International based in London, to act as their representative firm in Myanmar. The firm was restructured as Win Thin & Associates Ltd on 30 September 2003. In 2012, the firm has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Pricewaterhouse Coopers(PWC), always seeking to provide best service to its clients.

WIN Consulting Limited (WCL)

WIN Consulting Limited (WCL) is a sister Firm of Win Thin & Associates (WTA), Certified Public Accountants, which is one of the largest professional service firms of over 58 years’ standing in Myanmar rendering professional services such as tax, accounting, auditing, audit investigation, formation of companies and firms, liquidation and winding-up proceeding etc.


WCL (Formerly Win Thin Consulting Limited) was incorporated in order to take over the various consulting services handled by the now de-registered SGV- Win Thin Consulting Limited (joint venture company between SGV & Co., of the Philippines and WTA) and to extend its services to various accounting matters legally permitted under the law.
